Senior Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery (time, cost, quality) of assigned construction supervision packages.
• Supervise and manage contractors to ensure works are constructed according to specifications and established milestone dates.
• Direct the supervision team in daily inspections of site works.
• Maintain a high level of safety awareness and ensure contractor compliance.
• Resolve site issues and present progress and package updates to client teams.
• Negotiate scope changes with the Client and key subcontractors.
• Follow up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
• Develop Project Execution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, and Quality Control Plan.
• Establish program requirements and monitor site staff performance.
• Plan, direct, and supervise execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative project functions.
• Assign responsibilities to key subordinates in areas of expertise.
• Provide input for performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
• Conduct weekly internal meetings to review project status and action items.
• Represent AECOM at all client meetings.
• Perform various engineering works and project/construction management for roads construction projects.
• Review and check technical deliverables, construction programs, specifications, and cost estimates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g. Civil Engineering)
• Minimum of 20 years post-graduate experience in design and site supervision, with a broad engineering background
• UAE experience, particularly within Dubai
• Proven expertise in sewerage treatment works and construction of sewage treatment plants in Dubai
