Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team for site supervision operations.
• Attend or represent in project-related construction meetings.
• Monitor contractor activities for compliance with technical and contractual obligations and regularly report on performance and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Plan, addressing any safety issues as necessary.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with Egis procedures and organizational standards.
• Report on contractor performance, specifically focusing on quality and adherence to performance indicators.
• Approve shop drawings, materials, equipment, mockups, samples, brochures, etc.
• Review as-built drawings, warranties, maintenance manuals, and close-out reports.
• Address delays, adverse weather, and emergencies at the construction site.
• Coordinate and communicate with contractors, owners, and design teams to resolve issues and complaints.
• Respond to contractors' Requests for Information (RFI) and queries.
• Administer and manage change orders.
• Inspect materials and equipment, including visits for extraction and fabrication before delivery to check performance and workmanship.

Requirements

• BSc in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
• At least 5 years of consultancy experience
• ADM or DM unlimited approval (plus)

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven project management skills
• Consultancy and quality management experience
• Experience with complex development projects
