Inspector - Marine

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of dredging and reclamation operations to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards
• Oversee and inspect rock work edge protection installations, ensuring correct techniques and materials
• Carry out quality control checks on equipment, materials, and work processes
• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting observations, non-conformities and recommendations
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and contractors to implement corrective actions
• Monitor environmental impacts and ensure adherence to local and international regulations
• Attend project planning meetings and provide technical input and risk assessments
• Keep updated on industry best practices, equipment and regulatory changes in marine construction

Requirements

• BSc engineering
• 5+ years
• Dredging experience
• Reclamation experience
• Rock protection
• Marine inspection
• Environmental regs
• Inspection software
• Report writing
• NACE/FROSIO
• Site travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as NACE or FROSIO (or equivalent)
• Proven track record on rock work edge protection projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience working in challenging marine environments and adapting to changing conditions
