Inspector - Structural

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with project’s contract documents, drawings, specifications, and health & safety measures
• Ensure contractor compliance with standards and specifications
• Maintain records of contractor man and equipment resources daily
• Supervise and inspect Roads and Bridges site works as instructed by Resident Engineer (RE) or Structural Engineer (SE)
• Daily liaison and follow-up with contractor to manage site resources, safety, and equipment
• Prepare daily reports including work orders, material deliveries, and inspection programs
• Follow and implement site instructions from RE and SE
• Apply site quality controls and procedures
• Execute site measurements and surveying checks for bridges/associated structures
• Coordinate with client project manager during site inspections
• Monitor and record contractor QA/QC activities
• Assist in correspondence preparation per contract documents
• Resolve site issues promptly with RE or SE
• Monitor startup, commissioning, and handover of site works, tracking milestones
• Maintain records of materials tests and completed works
• Audit inspections for compliance to contract and submitted plans

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience, including 3 years in UAE
• Relevant experience on comparable roads and structural projects
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• UAE experience highly preferred
• RTA approval preferred
