Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of water infrastructure works, including ductile iron and HDPE pipe installations, valve chambers, thrust blocks and related fittings
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and authority standards (e.g., ADDC / ADWEA / DEWA)
  • Verify bedding, alignment, jointing, backfilling and pressure testing of water pipelines
  • Monitor progress of water network installations and ensure adherence to approved schedules
  • Review and verify method statements, ITPs, material submittals and shop drawings relevant to water works
  • Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) for deviations or poor workmanship
  • Coordinate with contractor, consultant team and utility authorities for inspections, approvals and tie-ins
  • Prepare daily reports, site photographs and inspection records
  • Ensure redline markups and as-built information are correctly updated by the contractor
  • Report any safety violations or quality concerns to the Resident Engineer or Quality Engineer

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Prior experience on comparable structural and roads projects
  • Familiarity with UAE authority standards and approvals processes (ADDC / ADWEA / DEWA)
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills, with experience preparing ITPs and method statements
  • Proven track record coordinating multi-disciplinary site activities and utility tie-ins
