Resident Engineer - Site

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports, progress updates, and site documentation
• Analyse and resolve complex engineering and construction issues as they arise
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required
• Implement and maintain effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in construction management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience as Resident Engineer in UAE
• 18+ total years of experience in engineering/construction
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and best practices
• Excellent understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety protocols
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software
• Outstanding technical report writing skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Willingness to work onsite in Dubai and travel to other project locations when required

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) certification
