Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced planning software such as Primavera P6
  • Analyse project timelines, resources, and dependencies to identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions
  • Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate information for schedule updates
  • Monitor project progress and report variances between planned and actual performance
  • Prepare and present periodic progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and potential risks
  • Conduct resource analysis and optimisation to ensure efficient utilisation of manpower and equipment
  • Assist in the development of recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Dubai
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making processes
  • Maintain accurate records of all planning-related documents and revisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project planning, preferably site-based
  • Proficiency in project management software, especially Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Thorough understanding of construction methodologies and techniques
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Dubai
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Willingness to work on-site and adapt to changing project requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
