Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the UAE-based Asia KYC Outsourcing Hub covering Singapore, Labuan, Hong Kong and China.
  • Oversee end-to-end execution of KYC onboarding, trigger-event reviews and periodic reviews for Corporate, FI and NBFI clients.
  • Supervise centralized Maker/Analyst and Checker functions, ensuring quality, accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to Group KYC guidelines, UAE and jurisdictional AML/CFT regulations.
  • Monitor workloads across local and offshore teams; optimize resource allocation and meet SLAs/TATs.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on Asian market KYC requirements, regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships with Relationship Managers, Compliance, Legal, Operations and regulators.
  • Drive process improvements, automation and system enhancements (e.g., FeneX) to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare and deliver MI and KPI reporting; identify corrective actions and present recommendations to senior management.
  • Recruit, mentor and develop a high-performing team; conduct performance reviews and succession planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, banking or finance (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 7 years KYC/AML experience
  • Proven experience in Asian markets (Singapore/Hong Kong/China/Labuan)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and KYC policy frameworks
  • Experience with KYC onboarding and periodic review workflows
  • Familiarity with KYC systems and digital onboarding tools (e.g., FeneX)
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CAMS, ICA or equivalent
  • Experience running outsourced or centralized KYC hubs
  • Project or change management experience
  • Experience implementing automation or transformation initiatives
  • Arabic language skills (advantageous)
