Live, currently-open job postings in the ScoutJobs index, and only the ones where the employer stated the pay themselves. We never mix in predicted or estimated figures. Every range shows the exact number of postings it was computed from, so you can see how solid it is.

Most salary sites blend self-reported numbers, old data, and model estimates without telling you how many data points are behind a figure. We compute percentiles from employer-stated pay on jobs that are open right now, and we print the sample size next to every range. If the data is thin, we say so instead of showing a confident-looking number.

They're percentiles of the pay range for your cohort. p50 is the median: half the roles pay more, half pay less. p25 is the lower quarter, p75 the upper quarter, and p90 the top tenth, the figure worth anchoring to in a negotiation.

When fewer than 25 open postings match your exact role and filters, the estimate is flagged as limited and the band is read more cautiously. If almost nothing matches, we drop the narrowest filter (seniority, then country) to find a real cohort, and we tell you we did. We never invent a precise number from too few postings.
