Senior Staff Engineer (DevOps Engineer)

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud migration and transformation projects, including migrating on-prem workloads to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI)
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and drive GitOps-driven configuration management and deployment
• Architect, automate, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
• Manage cloud application migrations and service comparisons across major public clouds
• Design and optimize database automation pipelines (user creation, provisioning, etc)
• Collaborate to ensure robust cloud connectivity, SDWAN/private cloud connections, and high availability
• Develop and publish API consumers/publishers (REST/SOAP)
• Implement solutions leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and relevant repository/artifact management tools
• Uphold OS compliance and security best practices using ELK Stack, Vault tools, and firewalls

Requirements

• 8+ years relevant technical experience within large organizations
• Led at least two transformation projects migrating on-prem workloads to public cloud
• Expert-level skill in Terraform and Ansible, with hands-on cloud migration experience
• Competency in Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline management
• Strong scripting: Groovy (for Jenkins), Bash/PowerShell, Python
• GitOps configuration management expertise
• Windows internals and database automation experience (Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB)
• Deep working knowledge of public cloud architecture
• Experience with service comparison across AWS, Azure, OCI

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Certifications: Red Hat Certified Architect (or equivalent); Azure Cloud Architect; AWS Cloud Architect; OCI
• Conceptual familiarity with DNS (authoritative/non-authoritative/dynamic/bind, forwarder), SSL, Active Directory (Security OUs, group policies), certificates (SAN, mutual SSL, keystores)
• Infrastructure & security tools: Load balancers, site selectors, firewalls
• Familiarity with CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault
• Knowledge of high-availability systems and Agile methodologies; participation in Agile ceremonies
• Awareness of OS compliance policies (CIS Benchmarks)
• ELK Stack: Auditbeat, Filebeat
