Dynatrace Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and maintain Dynatrace monitoring solutions for optimal performance and availability of applications and infrastructure.
• Partner with sales and pre-sales teams as a Dynatrace SME to assess and define customer monitoring requirements.
• Conduct sizing exercises to estimate resource consumption for new clients and projects.
• Deploy and configure Dynatrace agents/modules across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Set up and manage dashboards, alerts, and reports.
• Monitor application/infrastructure health and troubleshoot issues identified by Dynatrace.
• Analyze monitoring data to detect anomalies and bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with DevOps, developers, and IT operations to integrate Dynatrace with CI/CD processes.
• Provide training and support on using Dynatrace.
• Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously improve monitoring coverage and accuracy, updating configurations and creating scripts.
• Stay updated with Dynatrace features and implement best practices for performance optimization.
• Maintain documentation of monitoring configurations and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Dynatrace Professional certification.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools.
• Experience with tools like New Relic, AppDynamics, Splunk.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional Dynatrace certifications.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Capacity planning and forecasting resource consumption.
• Compliance with ISO standards.
