Senior Engineer - Road

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise civil engineering projects from conception to completion
• Review and approve technical submittals (drawings, calculations, specifications)
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with specifications and regulations
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Analyse survey data and engineering submittals to resolve issues
• Develop and implement quality control measures
• Prepare progress reports, highlight challenges and propose solutions
• Enforce safety protocols and environmental requirements on site
• Attend project meetings and provide technical advice
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and technical staff
• Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in road engineering

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• 8+ years experience
• Construction supervision
• Project management
• CAD proficiency
• Technical review
• Quality management
• Local regs knowledge
• Site inspections

• Organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree preferred
• Experience managing large infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with Dubai/Abu Dhabi construction practice
• Certification in project/quality management (e.g., PMP, ISO)
• Experience with highway and drainage design standards
• Experience mentoring multidisciplinary project teams
