Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize profitability and business growth
  • Manage contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Ensure familiarity with environmental regulations and assessments
  • Apply knowledge of marine engineering and construction management
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
  • Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals to foster a collaborative environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align commercial objectives with overall business goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on commercial performance to senior management
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks through risk management strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial management, finance, or related field
  • At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent
  • Good experience in port, marine structures, breakwaters and dredging
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, commercial regulations, and contract law
  • Experience in contract management and commercial operations
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful deal closures
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and advanced Excel
  • Strong understanding of business strategy and market trends
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Professional certifications (PMP or similar)
  • Knowledge of Arabic or other regional languages
  • Experience in international business environments
