Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise installation of dry utility systems (electricity, gas, telecommunications)
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations and safety standards
  • Coordinate dry utility work with project managers, contractors and stakeholders to align with construction schedules
  • Review and approve technical drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
  • Identify and resolve complex engineering challenges related to dry utilities
  • Develop and implement quality control measures for dry utility installations
  • Prepare detailed progress reports, issue logs and technical recommendations
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in dry utility design and construction supervision
  • Keep current with industry trends, technological advancements and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical or related engineering
  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in dry utilities construction supervision
  • Proven experience in site inspections and construction supervision
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools
  • Extensive knowledge of electricity, gas and telecommunications systems
  • Strong project management and coordination skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Abu Dhabi/UAE building codes and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural site environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
  • Prior experience working on projects in the United Arab Emirates or Gulf region
  • Familiarity with local Abu Dhabi utility standards and permitting processes
  • Experience with utility coordination on large infrastructure or transportation projects
