Inspector - Architectural

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure all architectural engineering aspects of the project are carried out as per inspection plans, drawings, codes, and specifications.
• Liaise with Senior Architectural Engineers and other teams for support and guidance.
• Review and monitor work variations to mitigate time and cost impacts.
• Monitor contractor document reviews and compliance with approved Quality Control Plans.
• Oversee inspection protocols for works, monitor safety aspects for architectural installations, and provide progress reports.
• Expedite NOCs and client approvals as needed.
• Maintain full site records, including site diaries and monthly progress photography.
• Liaise with contractors for submissions and approvals process.
• Conduct and evaluate site tests confirming quality requirements for architectural finishes and building components.
• Perform architectural and material inspections; field checks on placement, location, and quality.
• Issue NCRs to contractors and assist in corrective actions.
• Ensure inspection reports are accurate and compliant.
• Prepare daily logs and reports, maintain records of all submittals, testing inspections, and executed work.
• Perform work in accordance with Contract Administration Procedures Manual.
• Assist with inspection of completed works and other duties assigned.
• Monitor and report on HSE matters; participate in HSE training/meetings.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of basic design requirements
• Familiarity with architectural methodologies and finishes
• Understanding of Building Codes
• Effective oral and written English communication
• Proficient report writing skills
• Detailed knowledge of construction techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in architectural projects (ideally horizontal development, mixed-use, residential, commercial, retail & hospitality)
• Minimum 7 years total experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE
• Experience in construction supervision with a consultancy firm
