Product Owner, AI-Driven Mobile Experience, UAE (Contractor)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Lead and stakeholders to define and deconstruct complex business needs into clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Develop, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog for multiple development squads, ensuring alignment with the project roadmap and MVP launch features.
• Champion the development of core functionalities: digital onboarding, flexible subscriptions, usage management, and secure digital wallet.
• Own the definition, validation, and optimization of end-to-end user journeys for account management and data visualization.
• Ensure user journeys are intuitive and AI recommendations are personalized and effective.
• Collaborate closely with Product Designers on building a scalable Figma Design System and UI Storybook.
• Translate business process flows and user needs into functional requirements for AI systems.
• Work with technical teams to implement real-time, AI-driven, adaptive user interfaces.
• Support the development of a scalable AI integration architecture supporting multiple large language models.
• Serve as the primary product subject matter expert and point of contact for development teams and client SMEs.
• Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders, design, and engineering.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
• Be present onsite in Dubai 4+ days per week.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment (minimum 5-7 years), especially mobile applications.
• Hands-on understanding of AI concepts and experience with AI/ML projects.
• Able to translate complex business/user needs into actionable stories and requirements.
• Experience in UI/UX design principles; proficient working with Figma.
• Familiarity with mobile app development (Flutter or native is a plus).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Creative problem-solver, innovative, user-focused.
• Telecommunications industry experience is highly desirable.
• Registered (or willing to register) as a sole proprietor or LLC in the UAE.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience launching AI-powered mobile products from concept to delivery.
• Prior work with adaptive and dynamic UI/UX design systems.
• Background in the telecommunications or technology sector.
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a freelancer or LLC in the UAE.
