Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare designs, analytical models, and calculations for new construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory approvals.
  • Provide technical support in developing conceptual, schematic, and detailed design calculations for structural components in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Lead the structural engineering analysis and design process to ensure precision and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely delivery of design solutions and reports.
  • Adhere to company and client quality standard procedures in all design work.
  • Efficiently manage tasks and structural resources, monitoring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Provide technical support and ensure technical accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate technical aspects of projects and structural design methodologies to team members and senior staff.
  • Stay updated on current engineering codes and practices; contribute expertise to technical discussions at project and divisional levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in structural design engineering in building structures
  • Demonstrated design experience as per American codes and standards
  • Proficiency in analytical/design software such as CSI Family, Staad, or RAM
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an international design consultancy
  • Familiarity with local codes, standards, and authorities in the Middle East and Gulf region
  • Proven record in designing and delivering building structures projects of varying complexity
  • Computational skills and scripting languages such as C# or Python
  • BIM knowledge (Revit, Rhino)
