OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for inpatients and outpatients, including complex cases.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve independence in ADLs and functional outcomes.
• Provide seating assessments and prescribe appropriate seating systems and assistive devices.
• Apply safe splinting techniques in line with departmental guidelines.
• Monitor, review and adjust treatment plans each session; maintain accurate clinical documentation and handovers (SBAR).
• Manage designated caseload effectively and prioritise patient safety and care quality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education, training and discharge planning for patients, families and carers.
• Participate in in-service training, staff meetings, tutorials and reflective practice; receive supervision from senior staff.
• Adhere to DOH, organizational and departmental policies, infection control, occupational health and safety, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• Diploma or Masters
• DOH licensure
• Home country license
• 2+ years experience
• 3+ yrs clinical
• Inpatient experience
• Outpatient experience
• Pediatrics experience
• Adult experience

• NDT knowledge
• Sensory integration

• Neuro rehabilitation
• Orthopaedics experience
• Pediatric specialization
