Echocardiographer / Echo Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations (stress tests, Holter monitoring, event recorders, 24-hr ambulatory BP monitoring, ECGs) at a technical level.
• Assist with transesophageal echocardiography as required.
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and follow pre-screening policies.
• Determine appropriate imaging methodology and select appropriate devices and patient positioning.
• Prepare patients and equipment; calibrate and maintain imaging equipment.
• Acquire diagnostic images, perform data analysis, and provide information to physicians.
• Monitor patient condition during procedures; recognize abnormal rhythms and notify physicians or clinical staff immediately.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, including computerized records and billing procedure codes.
• Maintain stock supplies, assist with purchasing quantities, and perform general office duties as required.
• Troubleshoot and document equipment errors; escalate technical issues to engineers or supervisors.
• Promote workplace safety and proper care in use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• Cardiac Technology graduate
• Cathlab internship
• MOH/DHA license
• 2+ years experience
• Echo experience
• ECG/Holter skills
• English proficiency
• Patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• Arabic language advantageous
• Experience in interventional/special procedures
• Familiarity with transesophageal echo assistance
