Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Review and familiarize yourself with project contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures
  • Conduct thorough site inspections to ensure contractor compliance with project standards and specifications
  • Perform quality control checks and implement quality assurance procedures on-site
  • Carry out site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels
  • Prepare comprehensive daily reports on work orders, material deliveries, and inspection programs
  • Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate with the project team, including the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer, to resolve site issues promptly
  • Assist in the preparation of project correspondence in compliance with contract documents and site requirements
  • Oversee the start-up, commissioning, and handover of site works, maintaining records of project milestones
  • Conduct audits to ensure conformity with contract documents and contractor-submitted plans
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders during site inspections

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in similar infrastructure and road projects, with at least 3 years of experience in the UAE
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and regulations in the UAE
  • Strong familiarity with contract documents, detailed drawings, and project specifications
  • Proficiency in conducting site inspections, quality control, and quality assurance procedures
  • Excellent skills in site measurements and surveying checks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite
  • Outstanding report writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
