Director- Contracting (Emiratised Role)

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of contracting clients domiciled in Dubai.
• Deliver revenue targets while maintaining portfolio credit quality and client satisfaction.
• Support line managers with operational and administrative linkages, financial and business analysis, and risk management.
• Conduct client and market analysis to identify opportunities and risks; prepare business pipeline and account plans.
• Provide ongoing client relationship management: transactional support, documentation follow-up, facility reviews, and KYC/compliance management.
• Introduce new-to-bank relationships and engage product partners (Global Markets, GTB Trade, Cash Management, GCF) to generate ancillary business.
• Improve internal processes, contribute to strategic initiatives (e.g., Contracting Intel, Contracting Strategy), and prepare MIS and reports.
• Act as backup for assigned Director and prepare call briefs for senior management meetings.
• Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and timely reporting of opportunities and risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline
• 8-10 years experience managing medium/large contracting clients (turnover > AED 350M) in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or GCC
• Strong credit analysis skills
• Financial modelling and data analysis
• KYC / AML compliance experience
• Client relationship management
• Banking systems proficiency and MS Office (advanced Excel)
• Excellent English communication (spoken and written)
• Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
• Prior experience in commercial/wholesale banking product engagement (trade, cash, markets)
• Familiarity with UAE contracting industry dynamics
