Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage internal audit engagements covering Development & Value Creation, Business Development, Strategy, and Mergers & Acquisitions across the Investment Life Cycle (ILM).
  • Plan, execute and report technical audits from planning through to reporting, including Project Delivery and Asset/Platform Management reviews (Engineering and operational QHSE).
  • Supervise and mentor audit team members; review and approve working papers, RCMs and draft audit reports.
  • Coordinate quality reviews with Quality Reviewer and submit deliverables for quality assurance.
  • Manage relationships with auditees and external internal audit service providers; supervise outsourced fieldwork and review deliverables for completeness and quality.
  • Participate in annual risk assessment exercises, maintain/update risk registers and validate with process owners.
  • Track and follow up on agreed management actions; perform follow-up audits to confirm remediation.
  • Contribute to development and delivery of unit operational plans and KPIs; evaluate service provider performance and escalate concerns as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA / CPA / ACA qualifications
  • CIA or CFE (asset)
  • Proven experience auditing corporate and business unit processes, Business Development and M&A transaction reviews
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative approach
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and liaise with senior stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of internal auditing principles, accounting practices and relevant industry regulations
  • Familiarity with Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the IIA Code of Ethics
  • Role based in Abu Dhabi, UAE
