Zero Trust Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform Zero Trust security readiness assessments, including gap analyses and maturity assessments
• Develop Zero Trust implementation roadmaps and strategic milestones
• Research and recommend Zero Trust security solutions and integration considerations
• Standardize Zero Trust design principles across users, devices, networks, applications, and data
• Map customer requirements and security control frameworks like NIST, RMF, and DISA to technical controls
• Utilize threat modeling techniques to develop controls for architecture, data, and networks
• Mentor security professionals, engineers, and architects on Zero Trust requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network solutions architecture, engineering, and operations
• Experience with cloud-based network infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud
• Hands-on experience with enterprise network security and SIEM technologies (e.g., Zscaler, Palo Alto, Cisco, Splunk)
• Familiarity with NIST 800, FedRAMP, RMF, and FISMA standards
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architectures (ZTA) principles and practices
• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• 8140 Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP-ISSAP, GCSA, GICSP, GCIA)
• Cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Security vendor certifications (Zscaler, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, Splunk, or ELK)
