About the role
Responsibilities
- Properly and safely operate the Zamboni to maintain acceptable ice conditions
- Proactively identify potential ice surface problems and take appropriate measures to rectify issues
- Maintain the Zamboni machine, including emptying ice debris after use to ensure readiness
- Wear all prescribed safety equipment required for the job
- Ensure all work processes comply with OSHA requirements, EPA regulations, and college policies
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Demonstrated experience running and maintaining a Zamboni machine
- Knowledge of power tools and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at moderate heights
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with OSHA and EPA safety/health requirements
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and remain well-organized
