YouTube Thumbnail Optimization Designer

Responsibilities

• Identify legacy videos for repackaging using YouTube Analytics, Google Trends, and competitive research
• Design high-contrast, scroll-stopping thumbnails that meet brand standards
• Use AI image-generation tools alongside traditional design software to produce finished assets
• Present redesigns with data-driven rationales regarding expected impact
• Track before/after CTR on all thumbnail swaps and adjust based on performance data
• Coordinate with the YouTube Optimization & Publishing Manager on priorities and timing

Requirements

• 2–5 years in graphic design or art direction, ideally for social media or video platforms
• Strong hands-on execution in Photoshop or equivalent software
• Hands-on experience with AI image-generation tools (e.g., Midjourney) in a production workflow
• Experience with YouTube Analytics or comparable video-performance tools
• Ability to conduct self-directed research using search data and competitor audits
• Familiarity with A/B testing methodology
• Availability during core business hours (Monday–Friday, 9 am–6 pm EST)

Preferred Qualifications

• Awareness of health and wellness content and compliance-sensitive claims
