About the role
Responsibilities
- Build safe, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Act as a positive role model and support the development of essential life skills
- Encourage family connections and active community participation
- Support young people to have a voice in their own decisions and care planning
- Work across a 24/7 roster, which includes sleepover shifts
Requirements
- Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (completed or actively enrolled)
- Experience supporting trauma-based behaviours
- Unrestricted (Open) Driver’s Licence and a registered, insured vehicle
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Willingness to obtain a Blue Card
- Ability to undergo mandatory probity and criminal record checks
