Youth Worker

Responsibilities

• Build safe, trusting relationships with children and young people
• Act as a positive role model and support the development of essential life skills
• Encourage family connections and active community participation
• Support young people to have a voice in their own decisions and care planning
• Work across a 24/7 roster, which includes sleepover shifts

Requirements

• Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (completed or actively enrolled)
• Experience supporting trauma-based behaviours
• Unrestricted (Open) Driver’s Licence and a registered, insured vehicle
• Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Willingness to obtain a Blue Card
• Ability to undergo mandatory probity and criminal record checks
