Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Experience working with young people, Valid Full Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence, Valid First Aid & CPR
About the role
Responsibilities
- Build professional, nurturing relationships based on trust and genuine engagement
- Act as a positive role model and encourage life skill development
- Support and promote healthy family connections and positive peer relationships
- Empower young people to participate in decisions about their lives
- Provide practical support including school transport, meal preparation, and community access
- Assist with in-home support aligned with individual goals using a trauma-informed approach
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to work towards it)
- Experience working with young people (residential experience is desirable)
- Valid Full Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Confidence in risk assessment and responding to challenging behaviours
Preferred Qualifications
- Transferable experience from mental health, education, childcare, AOD, or youth justice sectors
- Completion of Hope & Healing Framework Foundations prior to commencement
