About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision to residents to maintain the safety and security of the facility
- Communicate and enforce facility rules while documenting resident behavior and progress
- Assist with comprehensive case management and the delivery of group programming
- Provide guidance to clients to help address criminogenic issues and interpersonal relationships
- Assist in referring clients to outside resources and counseling as needed
- Complete required reports, logs, and housekeeping duties as assigned
Requirements
- Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with conferred refugee protection
- Legally entitled to work in Canada (international students are not eligible)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to pass a vulnerable sector background check
- Strong sense of integrity, respect for confidentiality, and professional ethics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a related field
- Knowledge of Youth Justice
