About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide empathetic connection and support to young people facing mental and behavioral health challenges
  • Use lived experience to serve as an example of success in overcoming mental health obstacles
  • Assist youth in identifying personal strengths and navigating clinical and community services
  • Maintain a professional relationship that balances mentorship with structured boundaries
  • Utilize creativity and flexibility to meet the unique needs of each individual youth

Requirements

  • Must be between 18 and 26 years of age
  • Possess lived experience having received mental/behavioral health services or having experienced a mental/behavioral health challenge
  • High School diploma or better
  • Access to personal transportation for frequent travel (primarily in the North Country and Concord area)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working or volunteering in direct service work with young people
  • Education or studies in social work, psychology, or a related human services field
  • Knowledge or certification in Special Education
