About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and execute a strategic roadmap to launch and grow the Brooklyn Youth Ministry
- Develop engaging, theologically sound large and small group experiences for grades 6–12
- Create and implement outreach plans to connect with unchurched youth in the community
- Foster discipleship through one-on-one meetings and small groups
- Provide gospel-oriented teaching and develop lesson plans
- Partner with parents and guardians to support the spiritual nurturing of children
- Recruit, screen, and train a dedicated team of volunteers
- Manage logistics including space requests, catering, and supplies
- Develop the youth ministry calendar and communication efforts
Requirements
- Four-year undergraduate degree
- Proven ability to build trust with youth
- Experience in an urban ministry context
- Proficiency in Google Workplace and Microsoft Office
- Commitment to the theology of the Reformed faith and the PCA
- Ability to work weekends and scheduled meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate work in theology or counseling
- Experience with Slack or Asana
