About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants providing counseling and mentoring
- Assess participant competencies, work history, and skills to identify employment challenges
- Conduct regular individual meetings for job search, education, and job readiness
- Create individualized employment plans for short- and long-term goals
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper participant files and documentation
- Facilitate access to training, education, and employment services
- Track participant performance, employment retention, and measurable skills gained
- Monitor performance reports to ensure timely and accurate data entry
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3-5 years of case management experience
- Valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to navigate computer programs
- Knowledge of workforce center programs such as WIOA, TANF, NCP, or SNAP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in workforce development
- Bilingual skills
- Experience in interviewing and employment counseling
- Knowledge of local community needs and resources
