Youth Empowerment Coach

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants providing counseling and mentoring
• Assess participant competencies, work history, and skills to identify employment challenges
• Conduct regular individual meetings for job search, education, and job readiness
• Create individualized employment plans for short- and long-term goals
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper participant files and documentation
• Facilitate access to training, education, and employment services
• Track participant performance, employment retention, and measurable skills gained
• Monitor performance reports to ensure timely and accurate data entry

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3-5 years of case management experience
• Valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to navigate computer programs
• Knowledge of workforce center programs such as WIOA, TANF, NCP, or SNAP
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in workforce development
• Bilingual skills
• Experience in interviewing and employment counseling
• Knowledge of local community needs and resources
