Youth Development Educator

Responsibilities

• Facilitate after-school and summer programs, including culturally relevant workshops on identity, leadership, and wellness.
• Build nurturing relationships with youth to support academic enrichment and life skills.
• Supervise a minimum of 10 students daily during on-site and off-site activities.
• Support the recruitment of youth to meet program participation targets.
• Collaborate with parents, families, and community partners to foster positive environments.
• Manage administrative tasks including data entry in Salesforce and DCYF portals for attendance and enrollment.
• Assist with purchasing program materials and supervising volunteers or youth workers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 1+ years of experience working with diverse youth.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in group facilitation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with data entry and CRM systems.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a fingerprinting background check and TB clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual skills in Vietnamese, Arabic, Cambodian, Laotian, or Thai.
• Experience working with community-based organizations.
• Knowledge of youth development principles and community service-learning.
• Experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
