Young Achievers Academy - Program Facilitator

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate daily camp activities focused on healthcare careers, including simulations, lab activities, and workshops.
• Supervise and mentor high school participants (grades 9-12) to ensure safety, engagement, and well-being.
• Oversee on-campus experiences, guest lectures, and off-campus field experiences.
• Develop course content and execute program activities.
• Manage administrative tasks including attendance tracking, check-in/check-out processes, and data collection.
• Communicate camp requirements and expectations to parents and students.
• Collaborate with staff to evaluate program outcomes and improve future activities.

Requirements

• Licensed healthcare provider and/or health educator.
• BS/BA in a healthcare field or education/health education.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience in leading, mentoring, or tutoring youth educational programs.
• Experience working in healthcare environments or academic programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the University of Indianapolis campus, programs, and opportunities.
• Knowledge of higher education application processes and student success skills.
