Yard Operative

Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the site
• Provide assistance to the general public visiting the site
• Segregate waste brought onto the site to maximize recycling
• Perform picking and segregation of waste within the site and floor
• Clean yard areas
• Advise and assist center users to maximize segregation and recycling
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, environmental, and operational policies
• Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times

Requirements

• Customer service skills with ability to assist the public
• Good communication skills
• Experience dealing with the public
• Record keeping skills
