Yard Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day yard operations, including check-in/check-out processes for trucks and trailers
• Maintain accurate records of all equipment entering and exiting the facility
• Coordinate with dispatchers and drivers to ensure efficient yard organization and flow
• Act as the primary on-site contact for drivers and customers to resolve issues
• Enforce safety guidelines and protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA standards
• Monitor yard security, access points, and surveillance systems
• Supervise and train on-site staff to ensure alignment with company policies
• Provide weekly operational reports to the Regional Director regarding trends and challenges

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or C)
• Proven experience in an operations or logistics role
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and CRM systems
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience within a logistics or operations environment
• Familiarity with yard management systems and operational tracking tools
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices
• Experience analyzing regional economic variables to improve efficiency
