Yard Leadman

Responsibilities

• Instruct and lead employees in daily workflows and the application of safety principles.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work plans, distributing them to team members as needed.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety principles, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Complete required documentation and perform material handling for receiving, storing, and delivery.
• Prepare and assemble materials for manufacturing by mixing, cutting, bending, welding, or gluing according to specifications.
• Operate heavy equipment including tractors, forklifts, cranes, concrete mixer trucks, and ATVs.
• Utilize various machinery and tools such as CNC machines, lathes, welding machines, grinders, and air compressors.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas by managing debris and hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead employees and manage daily tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and various shop tools.
• Capability to perform material handling and maintain accurate documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Previous experience working in a Union environment.
