Yard Driver

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractors to attach trailers and secure lines
• Clean and spot trailers to specified doors or lot locations
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to identify defects and submit reports
• Inspect loaded trailers to ensure product security and refrigeration unit functionality
• Drive tractor-trailers within the yard or short distances outside the yard following commercial driving regulations
• Assist with selecting, loading, and unloading products as needed

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Ability to read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading
• Proficiency in English to understand safety protocols and work instructions
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to verify product quantities
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of related driving experience
• 100,000 miles of tractor-trailer experience
• Accident-free driving record for the past three years

Benefits

• Pay rate: $24.75 - $27.75 per hour
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00pm - 4:30am
