Yard Driver

Responsibilities

• Reposition company commercial tractors and trailers within the yard, including backing trailers to dock doors
• Shuttle tractor/trailers to and from logistics or lease companies
• Perform yard inspections to identify and document vehicle defects
• Monitor trailer temperatures for refrigerated products to ensure food safety
• Maintain accurate paperwork, including DVIR booklets and DOT log regulations
• Assist the warehouse team with loading and unloading trailers when necessary
• Comply with all safety policies, including chock, safety cone, and dock signal light protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A CDL with Air Brakes
• Current DOT Medical Certification
• At least six months of verifiable CMV driving experience
• Ability to work a night shift (12:00 AM - 8:30 AM) and a Sunday - Thursday schedule
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently (up to 100 lbs occasionally)
• Ability to work in refrigerated and outdoor weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of verifiable CMV driving experience
