About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures for various body parts including chest, abdomen, spine, and extremities.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring proper positioning, and using appropriate shielding.
  • Operate both fixed and portable X-ray equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure strict compliance with AERB radiation safety guidelines, including the use of lead aprons and shields.
  • Perform routine quality control checks on equipment and report technical faults promptly.
  • Manage digital image storage, filing, and retrieval through the PACS system.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient exposure details, and equipment usage logs.

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Radiology / Medical Imaging Technology or DMRIT from a recognized institution.
  • Valid AERB radiation worker registration or radiation safety certificate (mandatory).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in operating X-ray equipment in a hospital or diagnostic center.
  • Sound knowledge of radiation safety protocols and AERB compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with digital X-ray systems and PACS.
  • Good communication skills in Kannada, Hindi, and/or English.
  • Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency imaging requests.
