Writing System Engineer (NPDI) - Testbed

Responsibilities

• Deliver printer products that meet design requirements for print quality, robustness, and reliability.
• Ensure product designs comply with all applicable regulatory and safety standards.
• Participate in printer system development to demonstrate PHA and/or Ink baseline performance, monitoring metrics such as nozzle health, edge roughness, and flow rate.
• Collaborate on pen fluidic and ink characterization to illustrate expected performance and identify integrated system issues.
• Perform autopsy, triage, and failure tracking for failed printheads, including coordinating failure analysis and reporting results.
• Lead issue resolution using structured, robust problem-solving methods.
• Establish end-to-end ecosystems for testbed development to support new product introduction (NPI).
• Collaborate closely with print cartridge teams and manufacturing organizations to support printhead manufacturing qualification.
• Develop and lead testbed infrastructure to support new product development and high-volume manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Material, or Chemical Engineering (or a related field).
• Strong analytical and empirical problem-solving skills.
• A system-thinking approach with the ability to identify connections in dynamic environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones and collaborate with global workgroups.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25%.
