About the Company

WBG Pioneers, the World Bank Group’s Internship Program, offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high impact learning experience at the heart of global development. WBG Treasury performs treasury functions for the IBRD, IDA and IFC, managing approximately $300 billion in assets and leading triple-A rated financing programs.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through three different Treasury teams in three-week intervals
• Engage in specific projects or tasks as directed by the assigned team
• Participate in weekly discussions with the program director
• Attend technical and career-focused sessions with Treasury officers and managers
• Complete a capstone project presented to the Treasury management team

Requirements

• Enrolled in the second-to-last year of a four-year college degree program in finance, business, economics, or a related field
• Expected graduation date between December 2027 and September 2028
• Available full-time for ten weeks (June 1st through August 9th, 2027)
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in English
• Ability to work effectively in diverse, team-based environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship or leadership experience in a financial organization
• Experience with programming languages such as Python
• Experience with specialized software for managing and visualizing economic and financial data
• Ability to extract and process data from Bloomberg, World Bank Group, or IMF databases
• Fluency in a second language
