About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate technical maintenance staff to ensure the operational availability and safety of pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
  • Oversee the correct application of preventive and corrective maintenance for all units according to established guides.
  • Coordinate repair requests and emergency rescues for local and foreign units in communication with operations.
  • Manage workshop inventory, including manual tools, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Maintain workshop order and cleanliness, ensuring proper disposal of hazardous liquids and automotive parts.
  • Monitor technical staff work shifts, daily logs, and component usage.
  • Deliver monthly reports on preventive and corrective maintenance orders to analyze efficacy.

Requirements

  • Degree in Industrial, Maintenance, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
  • 5 years of experience in workshop management and technical supervision.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Diesel mechanics, including engines and transmissions (Manual and Autoshift).
  • Strong knowledge of suspension, brake, and steering systems for heavy trucks and trailers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of NOM safety standards (NOM-068-SCT-2-2000, NOM-012-SCT-2-2014, and NOM-035-SCT-2-2010) regarding physical-mechanical inspection, weights/dimensions, and trailer safety.
  • Experience managing hazardous waste and remnants.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience specifically as a Workshop Manager.
  • Certification from Cummins or Detroit.
  • Experience in technical supervision within a maintenance workshop environment.
