Workshop Foreman

Responsibilities

• Coordinate manpower including mechanics, electricians, welders, and helpers
• Monitor job progress to ensure on-time completion and liaise with site teams regarding machine availability
• Provide hands-on technical support, fault-finding, and diagnosis of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Enforce safety rules, toolbox talks, PPE usage, and LOTO procedures to maintain a safe workshop environment
• Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet manufacturer and company standards
• Manage documentation including job cards, checklists, parts usage, and labor hours
• Act as a communication link between the workshop, site operations, planners, and management

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in supervising a heavy equipment workshop
• Expertise in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, undercarriage systems, and powertrain components
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and computerized systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and service manuals
• Strong troubleshooting skills and high attention to detail
• Physical fitness to lift heavy components and work in various industrial environments
