About the role

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage the GVS process from planning and arrival through to invoice and claim closure
  • Manage and plan workshop and support resources to optimize productivity
  • Hold daily production meetings to plan workload and resource allocation
  • Ensure service and repair work meets time and quality standards
  • Support Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Technician Supervisors in line with standard OTI processes
  • Monitor staff performance against role requirements and personal objectives
  • Identify competency gaps and provide appropriate training and periodic competence assessments
  • Manage customer expectations and drive workshop profitability and job productivity targets

Requirements

  • City and Guilds, NVQ 3, or equivalent qualification in HGV Vehicle Technology
  • Proven experience working within a commercial vehicle/HGV workshop
  • Previous experience in a team leadership or supervisory role
  • Full knowledge of VOSA requirements and the MOT testers manual
  • Strong understanding of workshop KPIs
  • IT literacy and ability to use internal systems and processes
