Workplace Health & Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Implement new safety programs and oversee behavioral-based safety initiatives
• Participate in the Safety Solutions Group
• Serve as the primary liaison for site regulatory agency inquiries, including OSHA, EPA, and FDA
• Respond to regulatory inspections and partner with Legal and WHS leadership on investigations and citations
• Oversee the site regulated waste program to ensure full compliance
• Manage on-site contract security
• Collaborate with pharmacy and lab teams to ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and USP standards
• Coordinate with Workers Compensation teams at the Fulfillment Center

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in safety or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)
• Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Slides, and related tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50lbs
