Workplace Health & Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide management with support, advisory services, and oversight regarding health and safety requirements.
• Monitor safe working procedures and implement company-established safety standards.
• Offer daily guidance and inspections for health and safety programs to both employees and leadership.
• Develop processes and projects aimed at improving the local safety culture.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures as required.
• Assist in the coordination of state inspections and consolidate corrective actions for any identified deficiencies.
• Coordinate weekly and monthly health and safety inspections in collaboration with management.
• Maintain all documentation related to permits, legislative requirements, and worker safety training.
• Assist in incident investigations, risk assessments, and the management of emergency preparedness documentation.
• Conduct local audits, report data, and manage corrective actions following accidents or incidents.

Requirements

• University degree.
• NEBOSH or OZO BOZP qualification.
• Proven experience in team leadership.
• Demonstrable experience ensuring compliance with Czech health and safety laws and regulations.
• Fluency in both English and Czech (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies.
• Experience planning or managing environmental initiatives.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
