Workforce Project Director

Responsibilities

• Lead the team with clear direction, transparency, and a sense of purpose
• Manage human resource responsibilities including hiring, coaching, and disciplining
• Oversee successful implementation of welfare and workforce services contracts
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local policies
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with funding sources, employers, and workforce partners
• Maintain accurate data and visibility of project performance
• Create detailed budgets and track contract investment closely
• Review financial reports to ensure projects remain within budget
• Uphold excellent customer service standards and monitor team processes

Requirements

• Five years of experience in workforce development or business (marketing, PR, or economic development)
• Four years of supervisory experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, public relations, marketing, or human resources
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent English communication skills
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license for travel to centers and community events
