Workflow Coordinator, Pre-Analytical

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the progression of all patient samples to ensure quality and turnaround times are met
• Prioritize cases based on turnaround time requirements and STAT requests from clients
• Maintain accurate pending logs and oversee the batch creation process
• Investigate and follow up on test failures, re-queueing and managing "Test Not Performed" (TNP) samples
• Create and maintain accurate data for project reports to be shared with stakeholders and clients
• Partner with Laboratory Supervisors to assist with workflow, scheduling, and bench coverage
• Support the Biorepository team with shipments and returns as needed
• Utilize LIMS to manage laboratory data and workflows effectively

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in Clinical Laboratory testing
• Understanding of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows
• Proficiency in using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
• Ability to work a designated schedule, including potential nights, weekends, or overtime
