Workday Engineer, Workday Financials

Responsibilities

• Provide BAU production support for P2P, R2R, Tax, and Treasury stakeholders, triaging and resolving Jira tickets within SLA.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close cycles, including GL reconciliation, journal entries, and inter-company activities.
• Manage Workday security and access, including provisioning/de-provisioning and enforcing Segregation of Duties (SOD) policies.
• Build and maintain ad hoc and recurring reports to support procurement tracking, GL analysis, and treasury operations.
• Document system issues, perform root cause analysis, and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and user guides.
• Manage Workday major releases by identifying impacts and communicating necessary changes to stakeholders.
• Support functional and technical implementations, including data cleansing, interface design, and SDLC participation.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in finance systems, ERP support, or a business technology analyst role.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Financials (Procurement, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, or Banking/Settlement).
• Working knowledge of Workday security roles, business process frameworks, and domain-based security configuration.
• Proficiency with Calculated Fields, condition rules, custom validation rules, and custom worktag setup.
• Experience managing support tickets in Jira, ServiceNow, or similar ITSM platforms.
• Solid understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R) business processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday certification in Financial modules.
• Exposure to tax compliance platforms like Avalara or Vertex.
• Familiarity with treasury management systems or bank reconciliation tooling.
• Experience with SQL or BI tools such as Snowflake or Tableau.
• Prior experience supporting finance operations in a high-growth SaaS company.
