Work Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations within the Seating Value Stream to ensure production meets safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Plan and lead daily activities of the manufacturing team using the Daily Production Schedule.
• Assign employees to manufacturing operations and manage training, evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
• Lead kaizen events, conduct problem-solving sessions, and implement continuous improvement solutions.
• Track work orders through the plant to ensure on-time shipments and adherence to customer specifications.
• Maintain and enforce a safe work environment and ensure all employees adhere to company policies.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and assist in new product and program launches.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and implementation.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (JDE experience is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Proven problem-solving skills and experience facilitating group meetings.
• Ability to build teams, resolve conflicts, and motivate personnel in an industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-year degree.
• Experience working in a production assembly operation.
• Proficiency with timekeeping software such as Ceridian Dayforce.
• Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
